A man has died after a Mercedes van crashed yesterday in Willowbrae Road, Edinburgh. The incident happened at around 5.40pm. It was a single vehicle accident and it was the driver of the van who died.
Police Scotland said: “We were made aware of a road crash involving a Mercedes van at Willowbrae Road in Edinburgh around 5.40pm on Tuesday, 14 July.
“The 63-year-old male driver of the van was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
“No other vehicles were involved in the incident and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.
“The road was closed for around four hours to allow for an investigation to take place at the scene.”
