A 20 year old man has been left in a critical condition following an assault in South Queensferry around 1.30 this morning on The Loan, near Scotmid. He was rushed to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.
A Police Scotland spokesperson commented: “This was a violent assault where the male received significant injury and an investigation is ongoing.
“We are appealing for anyone who was in or near The Loan around 1.30am and who witnessed a disturbance, to contact police immediately. We are also keen to trace a car that was seen in the area at the time.”
Police are keen to reassure residents that this was an isolated incident and will have extra officers patrolling the area this evening. If anyone has any information, please contact Police Scotland on 101.
