North Bridge and Market Street in central Edinburgh have re-opened today after being closed yesterday due to what Police Scotland described as an “emergency incident”.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police were called around 6.20pm on Monday, 13 July, 2020 following the report of a concern for person at a hotel on North Bridge, Edinburgh.
“Emergency services are currently in attendance and both North Bridge and Market Street are currently closed.”
Bus routes which were interrupted included the 3, 5, 7, 8, 10, 14, 27, 29, 30, 31, 33, 35, 37, 41, 47, and 49. They have all now returned to their normal routes.
